NOTES

Soft, sweet notes; soaring high,

Floating with the summer sky.

Where sun once shone now follows rain,

To wash away the sound of pain.

White or black, black or white,

Night or day, day or night.

Like Beethoven, I think not say.

A broken song for some to play.

One struggles with the tricky bits,

Notes down low and in the pits.

The clinic walls stretch tall and high.

I remain; alone inside.

Secluded in a secret place,

Cut off from a familiar face.

No more notes I strangle out.

My mind is blank, save for the doubt.

Sweet soft notes; soaring high,

Floating with the summer sky.

Where sun once shone now follows rain,

To wash away the sound of pain.

xoxo
